Hey my name is Derrick Wiebe and I'm from Central Alberta. Hunting started at a young age for me, growing up in rural Saskatchewan and my family using it as the means of putting food on the table. I harvested my first big game animal, a whitetail buck, when I was 12 years old with my father. That was the major event that has got me hooked for life. I have since moved to Alberta and the sport of hunting has grown into one of my biggest passions.

 

Even though I have been to many parts of Canada and the world to hunt, my ultimate joys still come from hunting with my family, and taking first time hunters out. I enjoy every aspect of hunting, even the hard work that goes into it. I am a husband, and father to one (and one on the way) and hope to share my passion with my family as my parents did with me. I enjoy all outdoor activities such as fishing, camping, quading, hiking and shed hunting. The outdoor community is full of wonderful people, and that's why I look forward to being a part of the team at Echo Ridge.
