My name is Tyler Penner, I was fortunate enough to be born into a hunting family and have basically had a bow in my hand from day one. Two days after my 12th birthday I shot my first archery animal, a small black bear on a bait, later that fall I was also fortunate enough to shoot a P&Y muley at something like 6 yards! After that a fire was lit that continues to grow every year.
Each year I've tried to invest more time in the field to not only myself but others around as well- whether, it be helping my wife to her first archery whitetail and a month later her first elk.. or helping a lucky friend to harvest the current #2 archery velvet nontypical muley in Alberta! Basically if it involves a bow in hand I'm game.
I've been very fortunate in the game of archery as last year I was also able to capture both a provincial and a national title in my respective class. When Shane first approached me with this idea, I have to admit I was definitely skeptical, but after looking at his track record of success in most everything he does, I shortly changed my mind and jumped at the chance to be involved in whatever he stood behind. This will definitely be a learning curve as I haven't hunted with a camera in nearly 6 years, but am looking forward to trying to capture the excitement and all the hard work that goes into doing what we know and live for.
